Can an Executor of a persons estate, deal with the process on line ?

Has anyone done this - if so how easy / difficult was the process?

The probate application process can be carried out online and is usually very straightforward: https://www.gov.uk/applying-for-probate/apply-for-probate

However the executor(s) will still need to contact the deceased person's bank(s), credit card companies, other lenders, pension provider(s), utility companies, etc, etc, much of which might need to be done by post or possibly face-to-face.

My sister did it some time ago, it took about 12 months and wasn't difficult.
