Drivetech Police Speed Awareness Course Fiasco
Was joined into a DriveTech Police speed awareness course this morning.
Was due to begin at 0830 so as requested I joined early at 0820 on my tablet
Shortly after 0830 I was welcomed to the course by the instructor who introduced himself, told me to turn off my mobile. He said he needed to greet all others on course and to stay on and he would come back to me. Twenty minutes later I had heard nothing.
I turned on my mobile to contact the help line. Missed call from DriveTech. Rang them.
After 2 minutes of being told which number to select I got a voice messege. "No one available to speak to you" .
Shortly after a call from DT. Please log out and log in again. Which I did. 3 times!
Eventually I was successfully logged in and told On screen " The meeting know you are there please wait."
I again turned off my mobile as requested and waited. After a total of 45 minutes until I got a message. Your course has been cancelled. Rang them 4 times. No one avai!able to talk to.
Logged off and headed for work.
On way to work a phone call. "You did not complete the course. You hAve to reapply as your time limit to do the course is up. I had paid £95 and was told they may refund £50 if I rebook. "
She said there was a course starting in 10 minutes she could put me on! Also said there was a course 2 days before Christmas.
I declined and as have a close relative in ICU and at the minute my wife waiting on cancer treatment. I could not even get my mind round it.
I said the incident was not my fault. She said she didn't say it was. So who was at fault?
Anyone greater this way by them?
