Parking Fine
Received parking fine from private national company for parking offence 6 weeks ago. Fine has now doubled as not paid within 21 days, although I didn't get initial letter. Has this happened to anyone else?

It’s possible that they will take legal (court) action to force payment, but unlikely.
The previous owner of my property clearly did not update his vehicle details with DVLA; for more than 4 years after I moved in, letters were delivered for his attention for private parking violations (demanding money).
I think in all there were 3 separate parking violations with numerous letter chasers. I never responded to any of them and eventually they stopped with no further action.

2 options:
Do nothing, simply ignore.
You generally get correspondence telling you that certain things ‘may’ happen etc, words like fine, magistrate and court will always begin with capital letters to accentuate them.
Other option.
Tell them you’re disputing their evidence and ask them which court to attend and on which date and you’ll see them there.
I’ve done both in the past, never heard from them again.
