Me and my sis booked a holiday in a Tui branch on Saturday. We told them what we were looking for etc. So we booked a holiday and payed an £80 deposit each towards cost of a 4 star platinum Tui holiday. It cost a bit more than we usually pay but it sounded lovely. When we have checked today the reviews are mostly terrible. so bad that we regret booking without checking it out first. Where do we stand regarding choosing a different holiday regarding deposit etc? Thanks in anticipation :-)
You dont stand, you grovel.... only joking.
Best to ask them , you may have no right to a refund but they might let you transfer it.
Worth checking if theres a cooling off period
"• If you’ve booked a package holiday, you’re entitled to your money back within a guaranteed 14 days in the unlikely event we have to cancel it. You’ll also have other options, including the opportunity to change your package booking to another holiday fee-free."

The reviews are not always true! My holiday hotel I booked for June according to the reviews was run-down and not even open! It was quite the opposite ! Some people expect a 5 star holiday at 2 or 3 star prices ! See if anyone on here has actually been to your chosen hotel.
I think some of the advice given is somewhat more complex than it needs to be. If you go back to the tui shop and explain, I’m fairly sure they’ll let you change the booking. Let us know.
We had to change a booking with Tui that we booked in store and they charged £50 each for it. That was just for changing the date by a week but always worth asking.
