Any advice is welcome. I'm in private  rented property and seeking financial redress for non completion of works in house going back 3.5 years. Housing standards and ombudsmen involved. I have been asked to contact landlord for financial redress...i have in mind an amount, but wondered if anyone has had similar experience and what amount to ask for.

i dont have any experience but what is it you dont haave use of that you're paying for?

Apologies if this is a daft question but is this damage that has not been fixed or leaks broken windows etc?

I only ask because my landlord never did any repairs and we ended up leaving and was told there was no comeback

Impossible to say without knowing what problems you've been living with.  'Non completion of works' could be anything from missing wall lights to no bathroom and kitchen.
