Who cares about Taylor Swift?  I was looking at the news today and the banner was about her tour starting in Edinburgh. So what?

It has apparently been crazy up at Murrayfield (in the rain) for her three nights of the Eras Tour.  Visitors from all over, many from the States.  What annoys me is how Edinburgh hotels, B & Bs, etc.  have doubled their prices at this time and even evicted homeless people from centres to accomodate Swifties!

Her Eras Tour runs to 152 shows. By the time it concludes at the end of this year (in Vancouver) it will have been the first tour in history to surpass $1 billion in revenue - and will be the highest-grossing tour of all time.

It's a common moan here, 237SJ, that news headlines only ever seem to dwell on bad news (such as wars and natural disasters).  So it seems a bit harsh to complain when something a bit more cheerful finally gets a mention!

Well Iwouldn't phrase it like that, but I can't understand all this hype. I've heard of her - even seen a (rather vulgar I thought) video of her singing. No worse than others.

In other words, I am also at a loss regarding the hysteria and news.  She's apparantly visiting Liverpool next, it was all over Radio 4  .......... I repeat, radio 4 -which is supposed tobea news channel. Can't seem to get off italics. Help! -this  has taken a good 3 mins. to escape.
