Speeding ticket for uninsured driver wth permission

need someone to settle a dispute me and a friend are having.. i am uninsured on his car.. if i was to drive it and get a ticket HE claims that he can have the points put on my liscence without any proof from him to the police that i am insured..(says he jst puts my name on the form, gets me to sign it and sends it with payment)... the way i see it is that i am driving his car with permission, and that if i get a ticket, if he tries to let me have the points then the police would surely ask for insurance details.. this situation is hypothetical of course
