Good Morning Saturday Birds!
Not the day I'd planned yesterday - bout 1pm my mobile rings, it's my daughter in tears. Says she's split up with her partner and can she come and stay for a few days. Totally shocked as I'd only been at theirs a couple of weeks ago. Long story short she turns up at 6pm having driven the 3 hrs from their house, along with her 2 girls. Mad dash to Argos whilst she was on way to me to get 2 inflatable beds, 2 single duvets and a pump! Still don't really know what's happened but am hoping to find out today and hope that it's not a permanent thing : (

Other than that shock hope you had a good Christmas. Ours was very quiet at usual, small turkey breast was finished in a sandwich yesterday. Our next door neighbour knocked on christmas eve and presented us with a card and a present to welcome us to our new home. Also got a card from another inviting us to a party in a couple of weeks.
Nothing planned for today, still foggy so probably a staying at home day,
Morning Smow, ubasses and everyone who follows. Smow, sometimes the stress of Christmas can cause arguements over even silly things, so hopefully your daughter and partner can sort things out. Maybe things will become clearer over the next few days when your daughter has had a chance for a heart to heart. There must be something in the air, a friends daughter split from her husband on Christmas Eve.
Its still foggy here but getting better. We had a quiet Christmas which we survived, plus the 11th month anniversary. Hopefully 2025 will be better, I dont think it could be much worse.
Ubasses it sounds like you have moved into a lovely neighbourhood.
Have a happy day everyone, stay warm and safe
