what do i do with a city and guilds level 3 i IT?

I dont know what to do with a city and guilds level 3. i want to study IT further but i cant get any where from where i am. do i do a NVQ or a VRQ do i do BTEC, how do i get into being an IT Technician. i need some help!!

I work in the IT industry and it is HUGE, so I hardly know where to start. Some suggestions:

Build yourself a computer from scratch and learn to install and uninstall all the software involved.

Learn about software such as Windows, Linux, Office, Databases. Graphics etc.

Write some computer programs with Basic or C++ or other language.

Design a web site.

Set up a home network.

Visit your local library and read computer magazines or computer books.

Offer to help a local charity or school with their computers to gain experience.

See if you can get free IT courses at your local college.

See if you can find a small local IT company who will take you on so you can gain some experience.
