Build yourself a computer from scratch and learn to install and uninstall all the software involved.
Learn about software such as Windows, Linux, Office, Databases. Graphics etc.
Write some computer programs with Basic or C++ or other language.
Design a web site.
Set up a home network.
Visit your local library and read computer magazines or computer books.
Offer to help a local charity or school with their computers to gain experience.
See if you can get free IT courses at your local college.
See if you can find a small local IT company who will take you on so you can gain some experience.
