secure homes

Does anyone know of a service called secure homes whereby they arrange all your bills for you , you just forward the money onto them and they pay the bills.(at a cost)

My mother-in-law uses them , just wandered if anyone had any views on them or know any pros and cons ?

Am not sure that I'd necessarily trust a third party to settle my bills for me. If you've got a bank account it's just as easy to settle up a system of paying most of them (Council Tax, Gas, Electricity, Phone, Credit card etc) by standing order or direct debit and it eliminates the risk of somebody else clearing off with your money and then not paying the bills.

They advertise on telly. Not used them nor do I use direct debits, as they alwasy seem to **** it up. I prefer to be in control of when I pay them, if you get me? Its not that hard.
