Yes. I have a friend who is normally great and sociable, but he will become totally absorbed in football to the detriment of everything else. He insists on silence in the car when it is on the radio. It is like he is taken over by it. And it is not good!!
mine just goes quiet for a while and then thinks about it and just remembers the good old days!
My x used to do that , still does as far as I know , pretty pathetic really .
Although i do belive that you can go thru every emotion known to man during those 90 mins ,
heaven forbid if it goes to extra time , and sudden death.

Mind you i can't moan really . when my football team (liverpool ) won the champions league i felt that high in the sky i went to work and asked the boss if i could leave cos i was too hyped up . Ended up going to Liverpool to join in with celebrations.

When the football season is over they have got that new illness syndrome thing . you know like when they say people miss the summer when it's winter. Well there is syndrome when men miss the football. Won'T have excuse this time with the world cup.

oh gawd the world cup , thanks for the awful reminder ..lol
luckily My hubby is away [well not lucky ] but he is american and doesnt watch much football.

When his team loses, cue sulking, moaning, huffing and puffing...then he seems to snap out of it (after a good couple of hours mind)

my x had lucky boxers he wore on footy days , dam he was an idiot.

As a football supporter whose team has had a rough season(Ipswich) whenever they lose I say Im not bothering to listen or watch again but do, somebody described soccer as like being in a war zone without the killing, the adrenalin I suppose and I love the atmosphere, though I would say Ive seen some women supporters easily as emotional as men
My husband HATES football. Are`nt I the lucky one. Lol
