If you want to do something nice in return, take her out to lunch, or to a movie. Im sure she just wanted to put a smile on your face. And maybe you have done a lot for her in the past, and this is her way of showing her appreciation for you. Often the poor are the most generouse.
My boyfriend is part owner in a liquer store and a beer store. The other day a very poor man bought a winning lottery ticket. The man insisted on giving my boyfriend money. The ticket was only worth $5,000.00 , but after taxes he'll probably only get to keep $3,000.00. This is not a lot of money. Well the man gave my boyfriend $100.
I thought that was very kind, and I told my boyfriend it was nice of him to except it. The man will probably never beable to give a gift like that again, and therefore Im sure it made him feel wonderful to share what he had won.
I didn't see the line about you not liking the presents. Don't sell them, she probably worked very hard to pay for them. Keep them around your house to show your appreciation for the gifts...jeez even if it's in you bathroom or on your dresser. If she's a friend you cared about you would respect and treasure the fact that she is poor and bought YOU something of value.
Have more class really (I don't mean that too harshly just being honest)
