I thought it was earlier than that in the evening. I'd love to get an official government website link so I can prove it to someone

You'll like these guys then: http://www.noiseabatementsociety.com/tcms/view.do?page=280 and have a trawl through: http://www.defra.gov.uk/Environment/noise/ from DEFRA. Local Environmaental Health officers are the ones that enforce the legal position about noise - industrial, neighbours and any other sort, so if you have a concern, they would bre the ones to approach.

If noise gets to you, move to Switzerland! They have the strictest laws about noise in the universe. It is considered an offense to mow your lawn on a Sunday, because it causes too much noise, and it is illegal to flush the toilet after 10 P.M. if you live in an apartment - cos its noisy. Brilliant place!!

it is a motoring offence to sound a horn in a public place before 7am and after 11pm i believe, and did u know last saturday was national noise day! Wigan Town Centre was taken over by around 30 people banging huge drums, not a tune between them!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was it Babyshambles?
My wife is very vocal during orgasm and in the interests of good neighbourly relations we have agreed to limit her vocal responses to between 8pm and 8.30, 10pm and 1015 and 11pm and 1120 each night.

We feel this is an appropriate response to our neighbours requests
