Broken freezer
4 Answers
Last October I bought a new Hotpoint fridge/freezer. In April of this year it went belly up, apparently the compressor had gone. The engineer wrote it off and we were given a new one. Now the replacement seems to have developed the same kind of fault and it too has broken down grrr !!! If this one is also a write off and a replacement is offered do I have to accept the same make of appliance or can I ask to be provided with a different one as I no longer have any confidence in this manufacturer?

If it was the shop then by all means try for alternative replacement or full/partial refund. If was replaced by manufacturer, then they can obv only give you one of their replacements, although you could then go for full/partial refund against them.
