Lack of list buildings consent policy
Please avise on companies who provide indemnity for lack of buildings consent for intallation of UPVC windows, without planning permission.

Incidentally, how long ago were the windows installed? If it was more than 4 years, the Council cannot take enforcement action anyway, but there may be exceptions to this if the building is listed or in a conservation area.

Norwich Union Professional Risks department may also still do this insurance. Are you sure this is Planning Permission and not Building Regulations approval that was missed off? You wouldn't normally need Planning Permission to change the windows unless your building was Listed (in which case the owner needed Listed Building Consent and is in dead bother) or in a Conservation Area.
