Visa Problem

I went to China with L visa and had a 1 year contract with the school in one of the provinces.The school had processed my visa from L to F valid for 6 months.Before my F visa would end they were able to convert it to a residence permit valid for 1 year.If I go to another province and work there, what will happen to my residence permit since it is still valid for about 7 months?
