what are your rights if not married and lived together for 8 and have a son 2 and paid for maintenance and modenisation of property and then leave are you entiteled to any thing

Without the benefit of marrage there are limited options.
If you lived in a property in joint names with your partner I believe that you are each entitled to half. If the property is in your sole name then your former partner will have limited claim on this unless they can proove they have invested in the property. Vice versa if the property is in their name.
