abh
i have a friend who has been charged with abh.it was a neighbour dispute and the neighbour claimed to have been punched in the face, there was bruising to the face and chin and 3 lower dislodged teeth. it was heard in front of a district judge in a magistrates court.it has been delayed 1 week for a probatio report.she is 43,has an 18 year old daughter she is putting through college, is married and is in full time work.
is a custodial sentance the likely outcome.what is involed in the probation meeting.she is so worried.also her house has been sold and she is moving away fro the neighbour shortly.

Although the starting point for sentencing is a custodial sentence if your friend is of prvious good charachter and pleaded guilty at the earliest point in the proceedings a custodial sentence is unlikely far more likely to be a community order.
