caring for your grandchildren
i have a friend who is now the temporary guardian of her two grandchildren who have been taken off the mother by social services. does anyone know if she would be entitled to any benefits or fostering allowances as she is not being told by her social worker.

She should enquire further about this because Social Services should have assessed her as being a suitable person to look after the children. They should explain the situation to her. If the social worker is not doing this, she needs to take it up at a more senior level in the Soc. Services Dept.
