What are my rights?

Hi, I purchased a puppy from a breeder 2 months ago and whilst there she suggested we take the pups brother and that she would accept half the payment for him and pay the other half the following month. We agreed to this but after taking pups home we realised this was a mistake and took one pup back within the week and breeder agreed to refund the money we paid for second pup but only when she had resold the pup. At the time we got pups there was also a problem with her giving us hteir pedigree papers and she said she would post these on to us when they arrived. We have still not had the papers 2 months later and I keep contacting her for them and she keeps telling us they are being processed. I noticed that when she put the pup for sale again she increased the asking price and this seems to have deterred people from buying him as she has still not sold him on so we are still out of pocket. We wouldnt have been able to sell him ourselves as she hadnt given us his papers anyway. Is there anything we can do about this to get our money back? What if no-one buys the pup, can she refuse to refund us? When we took pup back she signed an agreement to refund us when pup was sold. I have got into arguments with her about this which turned quite nasty.
Thanks

I don't think the breeder has any obligation to refund any of your money, and she could probably sue you for the 2nd payment. You agreed to purchase it, and the terms of payment were also agreed. You changed your mind and I think that her offer was very generous. You say you are out of pocket, but if she had held you to what you agreed, you would be more out of pocket. It isn't like buying a jumper from M&S. 2) The papers - something not right here. I think aims500 is more help than I could be. This could be the best means to getting a full refund for the 2nd dog. Good luck.
