I suspect my ex Wife has been awarded a substantive amount of money for a works accident. Which would impact on my monthly payments to her. Is there any way I could lawfully find out the amount in order to make representations to my legal representative.

You may be able to apply to the court for a transcript of the Judgement/case. Was the case brought through criminal proceedings due to negligence or was it done by civil proceedings through your ex wife suing her employer ?

how do you work out it will affect your payments to her, this money has nothing to do with your monthly payments, why would it

Isn't any judgement made re these payments affected by the amount of financial resources the other party is in possession of?
Her means would not be taken into account in getting a personal injury award (is that what you meant?). She would be awarded "general" damages for pain, suffering and loss of amenity and "special" damages for loss of earnings and out of pocket expenses. It is quite possible that she reached an agreement with her employers by way of an out of court settlement in which case there would be no transcript, nor in fact any publicly available information. You could try asking your legal representative to ask hers.
