Employee rights
My work have recently suspended an a colleague of mine who is a special constable for putting in an 1 hours overtime he did not complete.
However this constable had recently accessed a police file involving a group assualt on my partner outside our home (unprovoked). the special advised me to stay away from these kids because they are nasty and confirmed the charges they may be up for if we prosecuted. He had the file in work however did not pass me over the file. It was a friend helping a friend.
The envelope was sealed and nothing more was done.
However work have searched his desk opened the sealed envelope and reported this event to the police.
Theey have also printed out an emailed conversation between me and a colleague.
The police did not want to press charges however the colleague had to quite form the force....
Apparently work want to speak to me.
Where do I stand and are work allowed to do this????
