is my company being fair?
0 Answers
i have worked in a pharmaceutical company for 8 years. for 4 years i was just an operator and for the last 4 years ive been a senior operator. in the last year a clic has formed in the department and ive been picked on. in october last year i went off with depression with personal problems and have been on depression tablets ever since. i returned back and the ones in the clic never hardly spoke and made my job hard being a teamplayer n having good communication plays a big role in my job and they made it clear they didnt want to speak and avoided me all the time they even went out one night and didnt ask me.its now got to the point where im suspended from work due to a formal complaint being made and two phonecalls to personnel about me which is the people in the clic. ive had several meetings with my manager n personnel and theyve said that theyve interviewed people on the shift and they no longer want to work with me.the operators have made issues to them that im selfish, ignorant, not approachable, poor communication, not a people person, quiet, a gossiper etc etc. most of them were lies but the company have took their side. ive never had any complaints made against me in 8 years and due to whats happened theyve given me a final written warning and if anyone complains about me in 3 years im out,ive been demoted to a 3,000 less job in another dept in which i cant afford to take as i have finance problems. i have now appealed on the decision. really dont know what to do? is the company allowed to issue a final written just based on behaviour problems? i feel ive been treated badly after working their 8 years and not even give me a second chance or scope to improve on some of the issues raised. at the momement im still suspended.
