I have been in a company pension scheme for 33 years and it now looks as if due to ill health the company are going to make me finish. Does anyone whether I am entitled to my pension as a right or can it be witheld until my normal retirement date..Thank you.

Alternatively, as thsi is a workplace pension, there should named trustees, any one of whom will be able to let you know where you stand. Note that there's a very big difference in the wording between early retirment, incapacity, and redundancy - make sure you know what's being put forward, get it in writing, and make no assumptions.
Good luck.

Hi there! I agree with 'Whickerman'; terms of your pension docs will/may state a section on; ''however, if you take early retirement....etc''.
If you require your pension now, this may be dependent on how far you are until retirement age, and if there is any chance of you ever returning to employment.
Hope that helps! ;)
