I have tried to help my mum, had written and email to the police and got the response I wanted, someone from the DVU took what she called an impact statement and now I've been asked to go to court. I don't want to do it as I'm pooping my pants, not because I've fallen out with my mum but just the thought of it terrifies me.

Very unpleasant situation for you. But be strong - the DVU will support you as much as possible.

I'm sure that it will not be as bad as you are imaging.

And good for you for doing the impact statement and helping your mum.
