keeping a child out of someones car??
4 Answers
yet again i am having trouble with my 15 year old daughter and her boyfirend .... i have had trouble with him and also his mother!!
she started taking my daughter out of school in the lunch break and the police had to be informed.
i know this sounds pathetic but the issue goes far deeper than i can put on here at the moment.
the thing is that i have forbidden her from getting into the car with this woman ever and i have also told this woman the same... she said that she understood and would follow my wishes... i have just found out (surprise) that she has been picking up my daughter and taking her to her house!!
is there any legal procedure that can stop her from picking her up against my wishes as she is a minor? and, by the way, my daughter is going of her own free will (i've tried that one!!)
thanks....xx

I think a trip to your solicitor might me a good idea. i don't know your financial circumstances but all solicitors will give you a free 30 minute consultation. A solicitors letter to the mother of the boy might do the trick.
I remember your previous post about problems with this boy. Both him and his mother sound like total wasters. It makes me wonder if her car is legal, i.e. taxed, tested, insured etc. It's a bit sneaky but how about a phone call to the police to say you are an anonymous concerned citizen?
It must be so hard for you, but keep on being patient and she WILL tire of him.
Good luck.

hi,
thanks for that!!
she is not allowed out at lunch that was why the police spoke to her... they said that they could charge her with kiddnap (of all things) if she ever took her from the school again.... my problem is now weekends and evenings!!
as i said the police cant do anything if my daughter goes of her own free will out of school.........xx

If the police can't do anything about lunchtimes, the school certainly can. If your daughter goes off site she is breaking the school rules and is liable for the consequences. I know this may sound harsh but can't you get them to give her a few detentions? It might make her think twice about doing it again and at least you'll know where she is.
Kids, eh?

the police have helped at lunch times and the school have also stepped in with detentions...they have been very supportive.
it is just out of school that i have the problem now!
