If you are summonded to court I would like to know what type of sentence is imposable for a summary offence, namely fare evading.

It was an oversight on my part and completely forgot to swipe my oyster on a bendy bus!! I am not sure how to plead but I know that is a matter for me to deal with!

I would like to know to know whether anybody else has been through the same thing and what was the outcome?

From a Transport for London press release, dated October 2005:
"On average 1,000 people a month are successfully prosecuted for fare evasion on London's buses. The average fine and costs is 200 plus criminal record".
