I got shot of my violent alcoholic hubby last July and do not know where he is. I have received mountains of mail from debt collectors from his many creditors. I return them to sender as they are all in his name. But would I have to let bailiffs in if it came to that?

no you wouldnt they are his debts!
as long as they are in his sole name you have nothing to worry about return them to sender but also write no longer at this address.. also contact the electrol role and inform them because creditors use this to get addresses! change all bills to your sole name. and if the ballifs turn up do not let them in whatever they say because once they are in thats it! just tell them he was violent and you threw him out and that yo9u have no idea where he is but you would love to know as he hea all these debts!

good luck!
Is your house jointly owned? If so, there could be problems.
