Leaseholder wants to buy freehold
I've had conflicting information. The solicitor who handled the purchase of my leasehold flat last year said I had to wait two years before I could attempt to buy the freehold of my building, however I have read that there is no minimum waiting period. What is the correct position?
FYI there are three other leasholders in my building; all of whom are interested in buying the freehold.
Thanks

Nothing about a waiting list was mentioned to me at the time. When I sold the flat I also sold the lease with it so if your solicitor was correct about a waiting period then by rights you shouldn't be able sell a lease with a property. I'd get another solicitor!
