Hi, i found a phone at the weekend in a pub whilst i was out, and was wondering if i could get it unblocked so i could put a pay as you go SIM in it.
I think it must have been on contract.
Is this possible or is it worthless?

Hmm, why don't you do the honest thing and hand it in, either at the pub or to the police?

I'm pretty sure that if it is on a contract and reported as lost, the network can block the IMEI number, rendering the handset unusable.

Well I hope you never lose anything of value in case the person who finds it is as dishonest and ignorant as you.
on the rear of my mobe and my camera iv'e got a sticker (made with a brother printer) my land line number on in case of loss, common sense really.

Hmmm, i know i should have handed it in, but the place i found it in isnt an honest place. The staff would have just used it for themself.
To hand it in at the police is the most pathetic idea i have ever heard. If it doesnt get claimed it goes to some illegal immigrant instead of being auctioned off now.
Also if i wanted a moral lesson, i would have posted in the body and soul section...
