If its a single tree, there is nothing legally you can do. But have you asked the neighbour if they would mind it being seriously pruned? You might have to offer to pay for the work.

(I'm the first to admit I'm a misanthrope).Your neighbour obviously has no idea that they're sharing space with others, and probably sees the tree as a beautiful example of nature. You see it as a nuisance. Your neighbour would be within their rights to refuse your offer; you would be within your rights to be annoyed.
in the law your allowed to cut off the branches that overhang your propety as long as you return them
but that will probably cause problems between you and your neighbours.
