I am working and have a contract. The local authority is reorganisingour dept and changing our times of work, duties will be the same but with extra work and there will be a job title change at lower grade than presently on. Do they have to make us redundant first to clear the old contract? What happens if we cannot do the different hours which now includes evening work? Does this mean we will be out of work if we do not reaply for the newly made positions. I need to now what my legal options are.

What happens though if I do not wish to sign the new contract?
The new contract means I will see very little of my husband because of his shifts, thats why I took the job in the first place.
