I am aware of the dealine to submit p11D's and provide the employee with his/her copy by the 6 July.
What are the implications of NOT giving the employee their copy by this date, and where communication with the Employer has broken down, can you complain to the Tax office? Are they legally oblidged to provide you with a copy or get a fine for example?

You should complain to your tax office who can arrange for the employer to be contacted, and if necesary for penalty proceedings to be started.

This is interesting, can I ask additional questions?
(1) is this penalty applied per employee that the company fails to provide P11Ds for? I have not received mine yet (7 days overdue and counting) in a company of 200+ employees. This would be a considerable amount of money.
(2) They claim the payroll company posted them on the 12th and blame the - a likely story of course, bu does that mean the payroll company is responsible, or does my employer still bear the blame?
This happens every year, so I'd like to see this resolved. But approaching our HR, management or finance department directly would probably lead to reprisals. Unfortunately.
