My neighbour and i have never really got on, she rings the police over everything, even down to putting a shelf up at 6 in the evening. we have now had the police round completely out of the blue saying that she is alleging that my partner is harassing her 5 year old son by swearing at him in the garden which is completely untrue, can she get away with giving false allegations and what can we do about it as it is becoming inbearable to live next door to them?

very little i am afraid.

Make a written log of every incident - I would do two.

One detailing the incident with lots of information, and another quick time line with just the briefest of details for quick reference.

Then see a solicitor about a protection from harassment order to stop her.
