Divorce
If a married women was caught having an affair (if you can call it that in the case) and they get divorced does the women come worse off as in money wise..
I'm am seeing a female who is married as i see it only on paper. As they have not been living together for a number of years he does see the children. But that's it no other contact as a couple. She want to leave him but doesn't want my name involved as she has been told she would come worse off....
Is this the case ?

If they have not been living together for years she has already left him, surely.
She can divorce him without his consent after five years' separation, or after two years with his consent.
He could divorce her for adultery, and you would not have to be named. Those days are long gone.
But as I said, it won't affect her financially.
Unless she is hoping to be maintained by him whilst living with you?

Hi Roy262,
i don't see you as a marrage wrecker, i met my partner when he was still married to someone else. their marrage was dead and buried, however i was named and the divorce was bitter because of me. but the judge didn't take in to account the "affair" which was a pity as we found out through the process that my parners wife had been having an affair for 20 years !!! so tell your girlfriend to get the divorce done and dusted and get on with making yourselves happy. thats what we did and now its fantastic.
good luck.
