Man hit by police car receives 80 fine
A man who had his foot ran over by a police car when it mounted the pavement probably expected an apology but it seems he has received more than he bargained for. The police offer who was driving the car that mounted the path and crushed Daniel Horne's foot took him to the hospital and sat with him whilst his foot was examined. Then to Horne's surprise the officer handed over a fixed penalty fine 'to cover himself'. He had written that Daniel had "ran into a marked police vehicle causing a dent." What do you think? How can the police get away with this cheek after they crushed a man's foot?
