Whats the best way to sue a stalker?

You sue a person for compensation. If they have no money it is a very costly and pointless exercise - and in any event, how would you define your losses?

Stalkers should be prosecuted by the police. Report him or her.

what for? if its harressment I doubt you can sue them unless a judge feels its reasonable, depending on the severity; I think they might only recieve an injunction to stay away from you

I've reported my stalker to the police who won't do anything. He has put spyware on my cell phone and has been able to see me, he put a listening device on my computer (I discovered this a few days ago) and he hacked into my Facebook Account so many times that I can't count.
The police told me that if I could prove that spyware was on my cell phone, they would investigate. I tried to find a company who could find the spyware and verify that it was on there, but the only people who MIGHT be able to do it are Private Detectives who all want $1500.00. I don't have that kind of money.
Since the Police will not do their job, I have to sue my stalker. It has been going on for 2 years and I am at my wits end. It keeps getting worse.
I've thought about Suicicide because I cannot live like this much longer. He always finds a way to invade my privacy. At work, I'm a nervous wreck and can't concentrate anymore.
Why won't the Police investigate?

Also, because my stalker hacked into my email account, he found out that I was in debt and over 100 people on Facebook were told by him. They also found out that I have a genetic neurological disorder which will eventually take away my ability to walk. He and his friends all posted mean and nasty posts on facebook about me not being able to walk soon, how stupid I was for being in debt (I paid off my sister's medical bills when her husband died.) He shared my personal information with over 100 people who all ganged up on me on Facebook. I blocked them all, but they all were able to get to me right through all my blocks.
This man has caused me so much stress. Does anyone know a good attorney in the Atlanta area? I live in Tucker, GA

If a person has to ask why would you sue your stalker, then they obviously have never been stalked or tried to use the proper channels of law enforcement to stop it. My stalker stole all of my medical and financial information and published it to all of his friends on FB. They all posted on my facebook page-nasty statements about my medical condition, my loans, ect....the police will not do anything-there are too many murders for them to solve, and I'll probably be one of them one day because they failed to help me when I needed it.
