I'm not sure where you would stand with unlocking a contract phone though.
Mobile phone unlocking is not to be confused with mobile phone unblocking. Unblocking a handset is in fact ILLEGAL. Anyone carrying this proceedure out can face a large fine and the distinct possibility of doing porridge at her Majesties Pleasure. A handset only becomes blocked when it has been reported stolen by the legitimate owner.
im no expect on mobiles unblocking or unlocking, and even if one these practises is illegal, ui dont think anyone goes to prison for doing this to one phone only, maybe mobile phone store who trade in stolen phones and lillegal unblocking , would recieve a fine, but for one phone only , not much would happen to a person.....
