I was an equal partner in business with my husband until 7 months ago when we split up. He forced me to resign and sign my shares over to him. I have had nothing from the house or business yet as I have waited to see if we reconcile. It is obvious that we are not going to though and I know that the business made 20,000 profit last year while I was a director. Would I be entitled to any money from t he business ?

Its not your directorship that counted - it was your shareholding. Directors have the power to propose themselves a salary or to waive it, and as such you are (or were) an employer of the business. But as a shareholder you have (or had) a legal stake in the business.
You say he forced you?
It's an asset of the marriage and as such you are legally entitled to a share of the profits. In the real world I would suspect he can manipulate the profits or simply walk away from it and start again.

You should see a Solicitor and ask for a full disclosure of his assets.
