Hello, you all live hundreds of miles south of me and we still play footy outdoors right the way through the winter. You can rent a hall if you're worried about getting cold for some of my suggestions and all you need to do for a good game of helpy is to fire out to a big adventure playground wiht tree huts and stuff, qualifty fun if the rain stays off, 1 person is it and then has to catch the rest. Anyone they catch then has to help get the rest of the folk, it's an aerial assult course in the trees, and yes I do still play it at my age!
Such an interesting game when I was a child.
Assuming all the kids are the same age (ish).
Divide in to equal teams
All are given 10 small squares of paper. Each must secretly write 10 people from fact, fiction, cartoons, films, history. Lierally whatever.
Fold the paper in half and place all the bits in a big bowl.
Round one. Each team has a minute
Team one have a minute to pick as many names from the bowl and desribe the person to the rest of their team. When they get it pick another until the minute is up.
This goes round to each team and each person describes it to the team in turns until the bowl is empty.
Round two. Put all the names back in the bowl
The smarter kids would remember some of the names but nowhere near all of them.
Same procedure as before but you can only say ONE or TWO WORDS to describe the person. (but not their name). So if the person in Cheryl Tweedie they would say Ashley Cole or Girls Aloud. (sorry trying to be like a 13 year old)
Same round robin as before.
Round 3
Same as before but you have to mime the name a la give us a clue. You will know many of the names by now, so it will require a bit of memory and lots of decent charades.
It may look boring as I have written down, but it is great fun for similar age brackets. It is great for adults as well. You try miming Lord Mountbatten or Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
I hope this makes sense, but if you need any clarity, just ask.

Aye, those guys often advertise for staff on a site I check quite a lot. I'm sure I remember 13 year old girls being a bit more boistrous than you're giving them credit for. Just use reverse psychology on them and you'll be able to manage it. Maybe say well we could play this but it probably wouldn't be fair as the guys are bound to win.... that's sure to make them compete. Mind you the 13 year old girls I hung about with grew up in the country and we all smoked and played pool by the time we were that age too.
