Seat belt extender

My baby seat will nto fit in my Ford Focus (52 Plate), because the seat belts are too short. Where can I buy a seat belt extender? I have troed halford and mothercare but, suprisingly, no joy! The seat fots in the front but I cannot turn off the air bag, thus having to put it in the back, but the belts are too short. Anyone know where I can buy these extenders from?? (online or in a high street shop)??

You are using the reeled seatbelts in the back, they should extent long enough for an adult why not clip through the back of a baby seat.

no cockney, not all cars have seatbelts long enough for all baby seats.

Spaced, you need one with a base, such as the mamas and papas viaggio and surefix base.

I think the maxi cosi ones can use a cabriofix system or something.

ive just spent �300 on a pram with car seat, theres no way im buying another. I need a belt extender.

did the shop not try your seat in the car?? Some seats, even with right length belt, are still not as secure as they should be.

just to add, if you are using an extended, ensure that no buckles are touching the frame of the car seat as in a collision thise could case the buckle to fail.

try oline at ebay but beware, i,ve just bought one for my mg zs cos the belts in them are really short but although it arrived within two days it didn,t fit my belts so thats money wasted, am now having difficulty finding the correct one to fit my car. so measure your clip and buckle including inside square hole width and lenght.

Snakeyes, was wondering if you have found a solution to your seatbelt problem ? as i have just bought a mg zs and just purchased a seatbelt extension and have exactly the same problem ! Just wondered if you could shed any light on the subject ? Cheers.
