Hi all, I have recieved a receipt for an advert in the thompson local that has my home address down as a head office for a company I don't have anything to do with , I have e mailed them but a response is not forthcoming at this point, What I don't want is anyone coming round here thinking I am responsible for poor workmanship and wanting reimbursement, Even if i get this stopped now the directory is out there for 12 months, any ideas which way to proceed with this ??

write to them or ring them email is very convenient but relies on someone the other end checking it. they cant ignore a letter or call
If you have just received the receipt it is very likely the directory won't go into publication for a few weeks at least.

Phone them straight away and send a letter as well.
It might be worth contacting the company as well just to let them know about the problem. If you can't sort it out with Thompson then the company should let their customers know that this information is not correct, after all it is in their best interests too!
