i havent looked at the code recently, however common sense tells me it is not so. For example, i am a lone worker with my own caseload. I do nt on a routine basis hand over the care of my patients to anyone, however i dont consider that i am breaking my code of conduct as a nurse. if it was a case of putting a patient at risk, then yes, care should be handed over.
