Your best hope is to contact (or look at the website) for the force you want to apply for. Generally any conviction or caution for violent crime will disbarr you as will recent "more serious" motoring convictions (dangerous/reckelss driving, certainly drink driving). Contact teh individual force and ask them - they will be able to advise.
