A Building is being erected next to my parking space (which I pay for) of 3 years, over the last couple of months ive had lots of splashes of cement spilled on the bodywork!! I went to see the Site manager and showed him the damage and he promised to get it removed (siad it comes off quite easily. after chasing him up twice I came home from work to find the cement removed but the car (a 3 yr old Jaguar) now has tiny scrath marks where the cement was! If the Site manager refuses to rectify the damage would it be worth my while taking the Building firm to court? (ive asked for a higher fence but been told no)

my boyfriend had problems with tar / paint being splashed onto his car by some private contractors of the Council.

It took a long time but he got a professional clean paid one he spoke to the company and got their insurers details.

Ask them for their insurance company and go from there.

Sell the Jag and get a sensible car for duration of building work.
Like the others said,

Take photos, ask for a representative to come and view and get a quote from Jaguar for repairs to the paintwork. The company are liable for the damages under the tort of negligence.

If they refuse to acknowledge your complaint and try to fob you off, you could possibly issue the said builders with a small claims action for the damages. 9 times out of 10 they usually pay out before the case comes to court

Threaten them you will Get the councils building inspector in , tell them that things are flying over the fence and you have had cement splashed over you , he could stop the works and that will cost them
hi in this world you should always get prove witnesses and photos and then call site manager around and if you dnt get any where then take builders to court. get estimates aswell to put it right
