As Annlinda states, acquiring 6 points within the first two years after first passing a test results in the automatic revocation of a licence. This is not the same as disqualification from driving as there is no fixed period defined by the court. Instead, the driver has to re-apply for a provisional licence and then (possibly after further instruction) re-take their test. See here:
