adverse possession

my father sold i acre of land 33 years ago i am in possession of the land since then i have uninterrupted use of the land it was never fenced or mantained by anyone but myself.
the persone who bought the land offered it for sale in the year 1990 i objected to the sale on grounds i was in possession of it for more than 12 years .
2 years ago i applied to the land registery to have it registered in my name the person who bought is contesting the case what are my chance of winning
