payment and percentages please help ..

hello, i rencently sold a immaculate bed(�50) to a family and agreed they could take it on the day (monday) and pay for it that friday ,

They had no intensions of paying for the bed and made no contact, so after making contact on the following wednesday with the person,

I drew up a contract of paying for the bed at �10 a week till the dept is cleared. she agreed and i thought that was the end of it-

Until i seen her a day later and she told me she coulnt afford to pay for the bed so i offered to come to her house and take it back,

She said her child would have to slep on the floor and i then offered that she could pay �5 a week instead,

she agreed and i worte a new contract. she had from monday-friday 9-5 to pay the sum �5 per week untill the dept is cleared and i was to be given 24hr notice on thrusday if she was to miss the payment!

She signed it and now she thinks she is the bee's knees by sending her son(6yrs) down on a saturday or sunday to pay us �5..

Is there anything i can do - tell her i can charge interest when a dept is missed of late - so that she aint going around with a grin on her face... or do i just take the payment and wait to see if she misses one.. im hoping she will pop down today! but it means im waiting in for her.. argh - im such a softie.. and only 19! : ' (

Just keep taking her �5 a week , grin back, and put it down to experience and take money up front next time. Or offer a discount if she can pay it in one go.
