willl i need a visa for america with a criminal record

can anyone help me
my son has been charged with common assault, he is 14 and will go to court soon. we are going to america in june and are worried that we will be turned away because of this. does anyone know how immigration works. will they have access to his fingerprints and records.

best thing to do is call the american embassy in London. i think he'll be ok to go to America

on another note, i'm not judging but it shocked me that a 14yr old has been charged with/committed common assualt.

i know he has gone off the rails lately and we dont know what to do with him
you poor thing mancity- it must be really hard to cope with such a sad situation.
such a shame that you have no choice but to take him to america or ruin everyones holiday. Maybe just the thought of missing out on his holiday will help him get back on straight and narrow.

Yes they will let him in.
I've just remembered what i was like at 14 so don't worry i think its something we all go through a tthat age.

i was the she-devil (although i never got in to fights), I was ill-tempered and a bit of a looney.

thankfully it past and now i think i could be classed as a (fairly) respectable woman!
