Easement in Deeds

In my deeds there is an easement for my neighbours sewage to drain into my septic tank. Environmental health condemed the tank and requested both properties have a BioDisk system installed. We have both now done this and my neighbour says we must now draw up an agreement between us stating that the easement has been withdrawn. A copy of this then placed with out Deeds.
Is this the correct way of going about the matter?

It is in your interest to get the easement removed as it gives your neighbour rights over your property. You certainly need an agreement - I'm not sure what form it should take - but the most important thing is to get the title information at the Land Registry corrected. Go to their website or give them a ring and ask for advice on how to do this.
